Our Coworking Space

1Q1 is a Keweenaw-based coworking space aiming to increase connectivity and foster new relationships.

Work. Gather. Learn.

Our Story

1Q1 is the Keweenaw’s first coworking space. Starting as a local collaboration with Michigan Tech’s entrepreneurship club, 1Q1 has since evolved into a thriving hotspot of productivity and collaboration. 1Q1 is dedicated to providing a dynamic and supportive workspace for professionals looking to grow their businesses and collaborate with like-minded individuals since our founding.

Building History

In 1869 a fire destroyed a large portion of the building in Hancock. This fire made room for more buildings to be constructed, including 101 Quincy St. With approximately 12,500 square feet of space, the 1Q1 space has a rich history.

The space was first known as the First National Bank Building. It is one of the most prominent historical buildings of downtown Hancock, designed to be the entrance to main street. The magnificent three-story structure showcases the elegance and grandeur of a bygone era while seamlessly incorporating modern conveniences.

Our Goals

Our coworking company is dedicated to creating a collaborative and innovative workspace environment that fosters growth and success for our members. We strive to provide a flexible and customizable space that caters to the unique needs of each individual and business.

Our goal is to provide a comfortable and productive workspace that encourages creativity, collaboration, and networking, allowing our members to build meaningful connections and opportunities for professional growth and development.
